OUR SESSIONS

Our morning sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m. Our afternoon sessions begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.

We have recently introduced a learning lunch club which enables your child to bring in a packed lunch to be consumed within the setting. This has proved very popular as it gives the flexibility for all day sessions running from 9:00 until 3:00. If it is a morning session with lunch that you require, they run from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. or lunch followed by an afternoon session then you would drop your child off at 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

A healthy snack is offered, free of charge, each session.

OUR STAFF

Place the mouse over their faces to find out names and job titles.

Key Person System

Every child is assigned a member of staff who is referred to as their key person. The key person is responsible for recording your child's progression and achievements while they are at Pre-School. These records are recorded along with photographs, paintings, drawings etc. in a book known as ‘Individual Learning Records’. You will be invited to review these on a regular basis and will be yours to keep at the end of your child’s time with us.

OUR COMMITTEE

Tiny Tows is a registered charity and therefore we require a committee in order to operate. We appreciate that many parents/carers have busy lives but without their help and support the Pre-School can not continue. The Committee consists of a Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer plus a maximum of nine other Committee Members. The Committee is elected at an AGM, which is held at the end of September every year. The more help that is available, the easier it is for everyone concerned. Fund raising and committee work can be fun, being part of the Committee enables you to help in the important decision making which affects your child. All are welcome to attend Committee meetings even if not elected to the Committee.

FUND RAISING

Government funding and the fees charged only cover the costs of staff wages, rent, telephone bill, snacks and basic equipment. All other expenditure i.e. toys, craft materials, paint, paper, organised visits, etc., have to be paid for by fund raising activities. Throughout the year, the committee organises many events in order to maintain our high standards.

Here are some examples of fundraising activities we have held:

  • Christmas Themed Bingo Night
  • Sponsored Easter Bonnet Parade
  • Jumble Sale
  • Wear your pyjamas to school day
  • Inside out day
  • Bag to School

Here are some examples of what we do with the money raised:

  • Buy new equipment for the Pre-School.
  • Give Christmas presents for every child at our annual Christmas party.
  • Give Easter presents for every child.
  • Pay for a book bag/book for every child leaving to go on to Primary Education.

OUR POLICIES

We have a separate folder containing all our policies within the setting. We comply by the policies at all times to ensure that the service provided by us is of high quality and a beneficial and enjoyable experience for everyone. These are available to view upon request.

OUR FEES

Our fees are set by the Committee and reviewed every year to keep in line with the Pre-School's essential running costs. Please contact us for further information regarding our current fees.

Tiny Tows is registered to receive Government funding for all 3 and 4 year olds. They are available the term after your child is 3, for example, if your child turns three in January, then they will be illegible for government funding after Easter. This entitles your child to 15 hours of funded childcare per week. This can include lunchclubs.
